Did you know your skin is the largest organ on your body? Crazy right?! Sometimes it throws you good days; Other times, not so much. There are so many great products out there to keep it up, it's hard to know where to start. This week's Happy Thoughts features our new friend Danielle Bush with a few quick tips on skincare... Enjoy!
What Got You Into the Beauty Industry?
Ever since I was a little girl, I would spend hours looking through magazines admiring makeup and hair styles. When I got my first Barbie, I immediately trimmed her hair and painted on her makeup; I knew then this was my path, and the rest is history.
Got Some SkinCare Tips for Us?
It really would depend on your skin needs and concerns! However, a couple of general rules I follow are to make sure you’re maximizing the benefits of your skincare products by layering them in order of consistency from thinnest to thickest.
Also, don’t neglect your neck! Anything that goes onto your face bring it down to your neck area.
Top 3 "Can't Live Without" Skincare Products
1. SPF is a staple for healthy skin and preventing premature aging! Opt for a lightweight daily formula like Innisfree UV Defense that has a water-based, weightless feel that you’ll actually want to wear!
2. Hyaluronic Acid is my favorite skincare ingredient of all time because it instantly boosts hydration and is truly great for all skin types. I love Dr. Sturm hyaluronic serum, it’s packed full of highly concentrated long- and short-chain molecules that provide intensive hydration while still being weightless!
3. I always keep a hydrating mist nearby for mid-day skin refreshes! I love Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir because it gives the skin instant hydration while the essential oils give you a moment of zen.
Where is your Happy Place At Home?
Definitely our porch since we’re surrounded by mountains. I try to spend a little time each day connecting with nature; I find that it helps me to recharge. And of course, my bathroom when I’m surrounded by everything beauty (skincare, makeup, hair, nails - you name it !)
